Jonathan helps a brainy but severly obese girl named Jenny gain self-esteem and deal with ridicule from her ""friends."" At one point, the snotty girls invite Jenny over to model a swimsuit, predictably leading to humiliation and the girl to gorge herself with doughnuts. Jonathan tells her the girls aren't her friends and helps her see that she has many other gifts people appreciate. Meanwhile, the angel sees that the jock (named Jack) that Jenny is tutoring needs to have his ego shaken, particularly since he considers the girl unsightly due to her weight. Jack had wanted to have a pretty cheerleader help him, but of course Jonathan can see where that is headed.

Jonathan and Mark taken interest in Todd who has no desire to be in Special Olympics because he feels he can't do anything. Jonathan then informs him of what his grandson has been going through. He goes out there to tell them to stop shaking him down. They try to rough them up but Jonathan gives a little bit of power to fight back. Later the man and his grandson finally reconcile.

That's Our Dad

Bill Cassidy is a model TV dad of the hit series, ""That's Our Dad, a show known for its closing (where he ""adopts"" two orphaned children at the end of each show). At least on-screen Cassidy is the model TV dad. Off the set is a little different story. Bill is an egotistical jerk who verbally abuses his co-stars and crew members ... and even the children he was said to have adopted. His off-screen attitude is put to the test when two orphans, who happen to be fans of ""That's Our Dad,"" and especially Bill Cassidy. The two track down Bill and ask if he'd consider adopting them ... especially because they have taken the closing segments to heart. When Ted learns that the subject of his mission is his wife Laura and that it involves pairing her with a guy named Roy; not only does he refuse to do it but he sabotages any chances Roy may have had with her. He then romances her himself but Jonathan steps in and shows what damage he has done and so to fix, he starts acting like a jerk which inspires Roy to tell him to leave Laura alone and their romance begins.

Jonathan and Mark go to work at a halfway house where people who have mental problems that have been institutionalized but unfortunately due to need of space, the ones who are deemed no longer a danger to society, but not really treated are released. So the halfway house is a place where they can treated before going back to their former lives. But when the son of one of them, hits it off with one of them, he thinks that they are a little hasty. Mark and Jonathan set up surveillance outside party between Denise and Mike to see if he knows anything about the cocaine. When Mark and Jonathan later meet with a faculty of the high school they find out everyone isn't pleased with the tactics used in trying to figure out who is bringing the cocaine in to school. Mark learns he made a big mistake when the parents of one of the students asks him to play the tape between Denise and Mike he later learns that he stopped the tape because they weren't talking about drugs. This mistake nearly costs Mark & Jonathan their jobs and almost costs Mark his life.

It's Christmas time and Jonathan and Mark's latest assignment is to try and get two divorce parents who are still bickering and using their son as pawn against each other to stop and start being parents. They go and work for the father who is a lawyer. They bring their son to a department store and there the new store Santa is upset at the store for promoting toy guns, and when the boy tells Santa what he wants, he tells him that he can't be sure if he can give that. Later the store throws him out cause of his bellowing. He later goes back and is arrested, Jonathan offers to defend him, and the boys father sees this as an opportunity to get back at his wife who is the store's counsel. Jonathan is still angry with God for not letting him go heaven to see Jane one last time. Jonathan becomes human after being dead for 40 years. Jennifer has fallen in love with Jonathan and now must help him understand that he will always have Jane in his heart regardless of the job he chooses. Jennifer suddenly finds a letter from Jane and as a way of saying goodbye to him he understands that until his job is finished they will always have forever.

The Correspondent

Hale Stoddard get the unique look at live through his wife's eyes. Hale is sitting in jail writing to his editor, which he believes he will never receive because he is covering all war. Jonathan than answers his request to hold his wife in his arms again. Jonathan first sends Hale back to the basement of his own home. He then gets a unique look at life through Martha's dream. First he learns that his wife always sleeps in his steady where his pictures are because that is all she has of him because he is a way a lot. Second he learns that while he is gone his wife sometimes fantasizes about Eleanor (A fellow journalist that often accompanied Hale on many trips.) Third Hale sees Louis before the accident that caused him to lose his arm. As he sees his son he begins to understand why his wife wanted him home all the time but also wanted him to be happy.

Aloha

Mark and Jonathan travel to Hawaii to help Aulani a former singer and actress to try and thank people more often. A friend of hers just learned he has AIDS. Danny tells Jonathan he contracted the disease due to a blood transfusion.

A pastor must follow a church council's decision to fire most of the staff at the school because they're not Christian.

Mark Gordon attends is there any five-year class reunion only to learn that it's not what he expected. An older actor uses the reunion as a press event get his career started again only to be told he isn't needed anymore. Also the prom queen feels out of place at the reunion because she's changed too much.

Jonathan tries two teach two kids the right way to report a story. But after a bus accident Diane Nichols gets the bus driver in big trouble because she was angry that he was married. The two kids see the opportunity to report the story incorrectly leading to the bus driver losing his job.

The Squeaky Wheel

Wayne seacrest is suddenly fired from his job as a computer programmer because the left on the bus breaks down. Jonathan and Mark asked for Wayne's assistance in getting better access to places for handicapped people. Wayne attends a ribbon cutting ceremony and uses the occasion to put people on notice about building ramps and widening bathroom stalls for handicapped people.

Goodbye, Mr. Zelinka

Mr. Zelinka is a beloved teacher who is forced to retire because he has reached the retirement age of 70. The school board president feels that he's teaching responsibilities are too much for him. The students of Lincoln High School plan a birthday party and retirement party as well. They feel their efforts go down hill when their teacher doesn't want to attend the party because of the retirement notice he received. The students gathered together to form a petition to stop their teacher from retiring but face a big battle when they try to present their petition before the president of the school board who has no intention of changing his mind or listening to what the students have to say.

Choices

A Vietnamese couple has come back to the states from Singapore to try and take their sons back. Mr. and Mrs.Trong find it somewhat difficult to be able to just take their sons back after 12 years of living in America. The Hawkins were led to believe that Mr. and Mrs.Trong died in an internment camp 12 years ago but soon learn that the Vietnamese couple did survive and have come back to have a promise fulfilled nearly 12 years ago. Jonathan Mark must see if they can let the boys stay in the United States with the Hawkins and released from a promise made 12 years ago.

Summer Camp

To help Mary Anders forget that she was scar and a fire Jonathan and Mark are arranged for her to work at a summer camp for the blind. Soon one of the counselors named Frank Reilly the keenest to suspect who she really is. He begins to fall in love with her later because her identity is known Mary Andrews decides to pose for a tabloid magazine that will show the burns she suffered.

The Inner Limits

Paul believes his brother George can do nothing because of his handicapped and because of what doctors told him and his mother. Jonathan and Mark, not to visit George and see if there is anything that can be done to find out what George has always wanted to say but never could. First Jonathan and Mark test to see if George can understand simple commands. After getting the necessary things he finally is able to tell his mother and his brother something. Two years later George writes a book "" No inner limits"".
